2 Timothy 2:4
NIV:  No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.
NAS:  No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.
KJV:  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
GWT:  Whoever serves in the military doesn't get mixed up in non-military activities. This pleases his commanding officer.
ASV:  No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of this life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
BBE:  A fighting man, when he is with the army, keeps himself free from the business of this life so that he may be pleasing to him who has taken him into his army.
