NIV:  As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.
NAS:  As they were coming out, they found a man of Cyrene named Simon, whom they pressed into service to bear His cross.
KJV:  And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
GWT:  On the way they found a man named Simon. He was from the city of Cyrene. The soldiers forced him to carry Jesus' cross.
