Numbers 14:34

NIV: For forty years--one year for each of the forty days you explored the land--you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.'

NAS: According to the number of days which you spied out the land, forty days, for every day you shall bear your guilt a year, even forty years, and you will know My opposition.
