2 Chronicles 1:8

NIV: Solomon answered God, "You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place.

NAS: Solomon said to God, "You have dealt with my father David with great lovingkindness, and have made me king in his place.

KJV: And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
