Judges 6:32
NIV:  So because Gideon broke down Baal's altar, they gave him the name Jerub-Baal that day, saying, "Let Baal contend with him."
NAS:  Therefore on that day he named him Jerubbaal, that is to say, "Let Baal contend against him," because he had torn down his altar.
KJV:  Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.
GWT:  So that day they nicknamed Gideon "Jerubbaal" [Let Baal Defend Himself], because they said, "When someone tears down Baal's altar, let Baal defend himself."
ASV:  Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal contend against him, because he hath broken down his altar.
BBE:  So that day he gave him the name of Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal take up his cause against him because his altar has been broken down.
DBY:  Therefore on that day he was called Jerubba'al, that is to say, "Let Ba'al contend against him," because he pulled down his altar.
DRB:  From that day Gedeon was called Jerobaal, because Joss had said: Let Baal revenge himself on him that hath cast down his altar.
