1 Thessalonians 2:8

NIV: so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.

NAS: Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.

KJV: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

GWT: We felt so strongly about you that we were determined to share with you not only the Good News of God but also our lives. That's how dear you were to us!
